The Date Night Sunset Zip Line tour starts off with a “warm up” on four lines with a short scenic hike between each line. Get back to nature zipping bluff to bluff over the forest and wildlife below.

Then your adventure will continue onto our 65 foot tower! Once you reach the top, you will then soar 1/4 of a mile to the next tower; then continue zipping from tower to tower ending with our one of a kind ZERO gravity line. The total tour provides you with 3 to 3 1/2 hours of scenic views and heart pumping action.


Come out and enjoy the beautiful views of the forest , bluffs and Kansas River all while flying high above on your special night.

Welcome back to the second annual Fall Family fun run event at the KC Timber Challenge course or FTC for short. Over the last year we have seen hundreds of families out watching and we figured it was only fair to let the little Squatches in on the fun!

The Fall Family Timber Challenge (FTC) is a Halloween themed 2+ mile fun/mud/obstacle course run and is packed with fun and challenging obstacles for the whole family (age 5+). Lots of people ask about how hard it is. Well here is the truth. Your kids will rock this course out… heck they are designed for it. Last season we had participants ranging from 5 to 78.

The newly expanded FTC now features over 20 obstacles and all the must haves of an adult course.

The Running Dead 5k

The Running Dead 5K is Kansas City's most zombie-rific event! Sign up as a human and race to the finish line and escape the Zombie Attack Zones as you fight for your survival. Or join the zombie hoard that will chase humans (or slowly stalk them, as zombies tend to do) through the course. Humans and zombies will battle it out across our wooded course on the beautiful grounds at the Kansas City Renaissance Festival site.

Free Zombie Makeup starting at 8:00am! Do a test-drive of your Halloween costume and get awarded big prizes! We'll be having a group and individual costume contest at 10:30, before the run starts at 11AM. Each participant will receive a T-Shirt, a Finisher Medal, and a Beverage.

Special Olympics Kansas Polar Plunge & Strut

The Polar Plunge consists of brave souls that raise money to “plunge” into icy water in Kansas during winter. Costumes are encouraged, because who wants to get their good clothes soaking wet? Plus, it helps disguise the fear in your eyes!  Plungers are required to raise a minimum of $75 and there is a toolkit to help them in their fundraising efforts. 

 

The Polar Strut is a sanctioned  a 5K run/walk. Go for the time or enjoy a stroll just do it with attitude! It’s strutting your stuff to support Special Olympics athletes.The Strut, like the Plunge, requires a minimum donation to participate and you are encouraged to consider raising more money for the cause.  An on-line tool kit is available to make you successful.
