Grab your fishing pole and head to a local favorite. Wyandotte County Lake and Park provides 1,500 acres of wooded area, a 400-acre lake with marina, kids' fishing pond, a large playground, boat rentals, concessions, bridle trail, off-leash dog area, archery range, F.L. Schlagle Library and Environmental Center.
Go exploring where the Lewis and Clark Expedition camped in 1804 at Kaw Point. The Lewis and Clark Park at Kaw Point is located at the confluence of the Kansas and Missouri rivers. It remains in a natural state with beautiful wooded trails, wildflowers, and wildlife.
